Apple is gearing up for one of its most ambitious iPhone launches in years. The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max — expected to arrive in September 2026 — are rumoured to bring under-display Face ID, a variable aperture camera, Apple’s first 2nm chip, and the largest battery ever placed inside an iPhone. Apple is expected to hold its annual iPhone event between September 8–14, 2026, with September 9 emerging as the most likely announcement date according to multiple leakers and supply chain reports. This year’s event is shaping up to be one of Apple’s biggest ever — the company is also rumoured to unveil its first-ever foldable iPhone at the same event.

The iPhone 18 Pro’s overall form factor will closely follow the iPhone 17 Pro, with no radical redesign expected. Well-known leakers Ice Universe and Instant Digital suggest the device will measure 8.8mm in thickness and weigh approximately 240 grams — slightly thicker and heavier than its predecessor to accommodate the larger battery.
